THE FINANCIAL PLAN

The income of the hospital only covers 53% of the running costs. THe deficit is funded by OHFOM with the help from Swiss, Germany, French, Irish, and U.S. associations. Last year deficit was $567,400. To enable the hospital to continue its mission. Amore permanent source of funding is needed. For this reason and endowment fund raising was been proposed. The object is to raise $ 10,000,000 in Europe.

The priority is to finish the first phase of the hospital and the school for midwives which is an absolutenecessity. It is practically impossible to recruit locally the 8 midwives we need in order to run the department properly. Atthe moment, we are relying on getting our requirements fromabroad.
